Lending Library Rules
- You must be a member of the guild for 3 months before checking any item out of the library.
- Only one item at a time can be checked out (once our collection grows, we will likely change this to 2 items).
- There will be no fees to check out, but there will be a late fee of $5 charged for an overdue video/DVD and $2 for an overdue book or magazine.
- All items will be checked out for a period of one month and must be returned at the following meeting. If the member won't be at the next month's meeting, they need to arrange to get the item to that meeting.
- Any item damaged or lost will be paid for by the member who checked it out.
- All borrowers must leave a $20 deposit check that will not be cashed unless items are checked out and not returned. After 6 months of 'good' library membership, your check will be returned uncashed.
- All items will be returned at the October meeting and none will be checked out at this meeting to allow the librarian to do an inventory. Hopefully, we will be able to arrange for people to check out at the holiday party, but we will discuss that closer to that date.
- Library policies will be reviewed by the board at least once per year and are subject to modification by the board. We will definitely review the policies this first year within the next six months.
- We will have a 'wait list' to reserve items.
